Come join us in the cool eastern mountains of West Virginia for the seventh annual Alterra Knap-in. The event is hosted on a 100 acre farm by Bob Hoffa and Tenley Shewmake.

All knappers and primitive technology enthusiasts are welcome.Activities will include knapping, archery, atlatl, and campfire storytelling. This year, we’d like to promote more archery activities. Bring your archery equipment, targets, and any ideas you have for games or competitions.

We will also have a speaker this year! Craig Ferrell will be presenting a history of the true arrowheads common to our area.

We’ll provide fresh water and firewood as well as hot food Saturday evening. Pot luck side dishes are appreciated, but not required. Camping is free. Fire pits will be provided. Don’t forget your camp chairs.

Check out the links to the right for photos, directions, and info on what to bring.  Please contact Robert Godshall with any questions.

See you in June!
